Wybone is a well-established, dynamic and innovative manufacturing company, specialising in street furniture, litter and recycling bins and clinical waste sackholders. Supplying into Local Authorities, the NHS and blue chip companies throughout the UK.
We have a vacancy for a manufacturing technician/press brake operator to join our busy sheet metal manufacturing department.
Tasks and duties will include:
· Operating Amada press brakes.
· Setting programs on the press brakes.
· Using existing programs and setting the tooling accordingly.
· Writing new programs and setting the tooling accordingly.
· Maintenance of tooling.
· Working in a busy production/manufacturing environment.
· Working with raw materials throughout the processing and production stages.
· Operating machinery and hand tools in accordance with H&S requirements and work procedures.
· Assembling/completing products for despatch and carrying out quality checks.
· Supporting the department and team members to achieve the required output.
· An awareness of health and safety, with the ability to follow safety requirements and instructions.
About You:
· Considerable manufacturing experience and be used to working in a factory/production environment.
· Good knowledge of press brake processes.
· Sheet metal experience is advantageous.
· Amada experience is preferred but not essential. Training will be provided.
· Able to work to deadlines.
· Technical aptitude, with initiative.
· Flexible work attitude, and willing to work overtime.
