Payroll Supervisor Manchester, England

Accounts Direct
Full Time Manchester, England 25000 - 30000 GBP ANNUAL Today
Job description

About us

Accounts Direct are accountants for business owners. We’re entirely service-led – meaning we put the customer at the heart of everything we do.

Back in 1990, as business owners ourselves, we knew we needed a real accountant that truly understood what made our lives worth living. We’d looked for one and come up short (and frazzled). So, we trained to become accountants ourselves.

Collectively, we’ve owned and seen it all in business. From chip shops to pubs, paintball centres to cash and carries, you name it, we’ve run it. Which is why we’re so good at helping business owners now.

We’re all about making business owners lives easier. We know they need more hours in the day, more freedom to get creative, and (probably) more money to keep things running.

We are looking for a Payroll Supervisor to join our energetic, growing team. The ideal candidate has a background in payroll and accounting software, as well as experience working with payroll providers and a passion for using technology to streamline processes. The Payroll Supervisor will be responsible for assisting our payroll provider in creating and maintaining payroll processes and procedures, handling administrative duties related to payroll changes, preparing reports related to payroll, and maintaining employees' pay stubs.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that payroll reports are accurate, comprehensive and on time.
  • Ensure that payroll deadlines are met.
  • Ensure that new employees receive training on payroll processes.
  • Ensure that new employees receive training on the organization's human resources policies and procedures.
  • Be prepared to deal with sensitive information such as age and salary information.
  • Manage valuable data.
  • Design and implement a safety plan in the event of a security breach.
