Role outlined
- The key to this role is being incredibly efficient with your time, organised and high levels of attention to detail to both internal teams and to our customers.
- To ensure that our products are loaded ensuring items correspond with delivery/picking notes and that care is taken to stack using the correct lifting and handling techniques.
- At the start of each day, prepare a route sheet identifying the day’s delivery locations and collections in route order.
- To check collection notes to ensure correct goods are collected in line with company process.
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure that customers are notified if there are any delivery problems/delays occur on route.
- To ensure that all signatures, collections etc. are valid and correspond with the delivery note and any discrepancies are resolved whilst you are at the customer's premises.
- Completion of all relevant administration during the process of delivery.
- Maintain delivery vehicle, undertaking daily vehicle check with regard to tyre pressure, fluid levels, and cleaning.
- To drive safely and comply with all road markings, signs and any driving/parking restrictions.
What level of experience will I need?
- A full UK manual driving licence (for at least 12 months)
- No more than 3 points/endorsements on your driving licence
- A warm, caring and welcoming personality
- Strong work ethic and the willingness to go the extra mile.
