Job Description
-We are seeking an Engineering Maintenance Technician to join our Engineering Services (ES) department, based at our Ascot manufacturing site.
You will be an integral member of a multi-disciplined and diverse team, responsible for maintaining specialised equipment and the associated plant to the highest standards of safety, quality, reliability and availability.
You'll need to be available to work a weekly rotating shift pattern covering a schedule of Week 1 - Monday to Friday 07:00 – 15:00 and Week 2 - Monday to Friday 11:00 – 19:00, as well as being part of on-call rota for weekend coverage (circa 1 weekend per month).
The role will suit an enthusiastic individual who has a positive outlook and willingness to learn new skills.
Duties and tasks
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, on time and right first time
- Maintain and create documentation to capture accurate data on planned and unplanned maintenance tasks
- Oversee contractors to ensure safe and competent conduct of work and adherence to E6 contractor management standards
- Contribute to ongoing continuous improvement activities, including participation in root-cause analysis and implementation of improvement actions
- Be an active team member as required for projects assessing the viability of new equipment/technologies to Element Six
- Ensure safety first at all times in line with our Zero Harm goal
- Qualifications
-Engineering experience in a multi-skilled maintenance function - Proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings would be advantageous but not essential
- Proactive, self-motivated individual with an action-oriented mindset
- Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively as required
