Job description
ADAS, part of RSK Group, is seeking a Livestock Consultant to join our team on a full time, permanent basis. The role will be hybrid with lots of travel across Wales, so a full driving licence and vehicle is essential.
We are looking for a motivated and ambitious livestock systems specialist to work primarily on delivering and expanding our range of consultancy projects. The role would involve working within our well-established livestock consultancy group and would involve flexible hybrid home & office working, with support from one of our offices (Bristol, Hereford, Aberystwyth, Porthmadog or Wolverhampton).
Responsibilities:
- Work with a wide range of farming and corporate businesses, retailers, representative organisations and government bodies.
- Preparing high quality written material, handling data and being able to present information to clients and groups.
- Prepare bids for new livestock consultancy projects and to identify opportunities for new business, individually or as part of a group.
- Gathering information and drafting reports. This is likely to include some visits to farms and other premises in support of our current consultancy projects
Qualifications/Experience:
- Degree or a postgraduate qualification relevant to livestock, or a related degree (e.g. in another science subject) with relevant practical experience
- Demonstrate excellent report writing skills using MS Word, and data handling using MS Excel
- Full driving licence and own transport
Salary:
- Up to £35,000 pa
