Job description
The Planner/Scheduler is responsible for the intricacies of the maintenance program and the supporting CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management System) as well as responsible for developing the long-term and short-term schedules
- Develop and refine preventative maintenance procedures written to the level of the executing crafts.
- Screen work to determine it is appropriately routed
- Identify when specialized contractor help is needed and source it within their authorities.
- Develop and communicate the schedules to our internal customers (operations) and coordinate the availability of equipment for work as well as communicate completed work periodically.
- Responsible for daily manpower allocation and when needed, reassign personnel as required for emergent break in work as communicated by the shift leaders or “Gatekeeper”.
- Responsibility for ensuring actuals are accurately collected and data entry is made for work completed each day
- Responsible for management of the backlog and sourcing contractors when necessary for backlog reduction.
With Maintenance Management Team
- Responsible for ensuring assets necessary to conduct work are available when work is scheduled.
- Key member of the work planning group.
- Communicate with the warehouse group to ensure spare parts ordered for planned work have assets assigned for cost tracking.
- Responsible with the “Gate Keeper” to properly prioritize work and ensure the proper assets are directed for the timely completion of scheduled and unscheduled break in work.
- Responsible for ensuring schedule allows for employee development and adjust the schedule when unplanned or planned absences occur.
- Responsible with Maintenance execution team for schedule adherence and management.
- Provide accurate data for inventory management activities.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,879.19 - $100,000.00 per year
