Job description

Are you an experienced in house recruiter? Do you have a natural flare when speaking to candidates? Would you like the opportunity to work behind the scenes on some outstanding events, such as The Olympics, Wimbledon, The Open, Cheltenham races and the Ryder Cup (just to name a few)? Then this could be your perfect next step!

We are an internationally recognised, market leading, event solutions company who offer temporary event set ups for prestigious and well-known events all over the UK and beyond and we are looking for an experienced recruiter to support the HR team to implement successful talent attraction and recruitment practices.

This is a full time, permanent position offering the successful candidate £34,000-£36,000 per annum depending on experience.

Requirements to succeed in this role:

  • 5 years experience in a recruitment setting
  • Ability to handle high volume recruitment
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key individuals and external partners
  • Driving licence - essential
  • Ability to travel the UK and stay away from home (accommodation and expenses paid) - essential

Core Duties would include, but are not limited to:

  • To support hiring managers with the creation and development of job descriptions.
  • To coach hiring managers on how to compile interview questions, shortlist candidates, and conduct effective in-person/video call interviews. Interviewing candidates as necessary
  • Sourcing potential candidates through online company career portals, recruitment sites, job boards, social platforms, as well as print media, posters, and flyers, when required.
  • Evaluating applications and screening candidates via calls or emails, as well as facilitating pre-interview assessments.
  • Obtaining and sharing feedback following interviews (hiring manager and candidate feedback)
  • To ensure that all applicants have an engaging experience with Arena regardless of whether their application is ultimately successful.
  • Developing strategies to reduce agency spend
