Morgan Stanley is a leading global financial services firm providing a wide range of investment banking, securities, investment management and wealth management services.
- You will be able to take part in all aspects of the research production – from idea generation, data analysis, report writing and then promoting to clients.
- You will be working with Head of G10 FX Strategy in London and helping to maintain and develop existing and new tools for FX analysis.
- You will have the opportunity to be the primary coverage area for some European G10 currencies.
- You will be responsible for writing daily commentary on market developments.
- You will be writing longer reports with investment recommendations.
- You will be presenting team views on FX markets on calls with internal and external stakeholders.
- You will be building relationships with sales and trading team.
QUALIFICATIONS
- You have a strong academic background with a degree in a business related field, or equivalent.
- A strong interest in global macro and Developed Markets is a critical pre-requisite for the role, including in both macroeconomics and financial market issues.
- Previous work experience in FX and understanding of Interest Rate markets is essential
- Statistical and quantitative skills with a background in Microsoft Excel and knowledge of various coding languages packages would be desirable.
- Ability to work collaboratively as a team player and interact effectively with other research teams across the firm.
- High self-motivation and ability to work independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to demonstrate competence with numerical concepts and tools.
This role is deemed as a Certified role and may require the role holder to hold mandatory regulatory qualifications or the minimum qualifications to meet internal company benchmarks.
- This role is based in 20 Bank Street, London.
