Block Automotive are the World’s leading light in the design and construction of Vocational Training Equipment specialising in the Automotive, Agricultural, and Marine. The TEAM assemble are focused, highly talented and immensely proud of what they do.
We are seeking an enthusiastic skilled and experienced time-served Motor Vehicle Mechanic for immediate start at our Kessingland works within our expanding Automotive Vocational Training Construction Departments. You will be able to use all your experience in a unique environment working with petrol, diesel, electric, hybrid and hydrogen vehicle technology producing unique products, for the educational space.
The Role
Machinist / Miller / Turner with relevant production experience in a machining environment, who is reliable, driven and has the working ethic to solve problems is required for a well-established, precision engineering environment, based in Kessingland, Suffolk.
The Machinist / Miller / Turner will have the ability to produce quality machined parts, in line with the company’s high standards
The successful candidate must be able to:
- Read drawings
- Calculate cutting speeds and feeds
- Carry out milling operations • Carry out turning operations
- Be able to work autonomously
- Work to customer specifications Any experience of programming CNC lathes / milling machines would be beneficial but is not a required.
Hours of Work
Working 40 hours per week Monday - Friday
22 days holiday plus bank holiday.
We also offer attractive rates of pay for hours worked based on experience, plus an abundance of overtime available to the successful applicant.
