My client, an industry leading aerospace engineering firm are currently seeking a Machine Shop Operative to join their manufacturing team on a late/night shift. As a Machine Shop Operative, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various machines used in the production of components and products.
Shifts Available
Mon-Thurs Noon - Midnight - 44 hrs a week
Moving to a night shift Mon-Thurs 6pm-6am from January 2024
Main Duties
- Operate and maintain CNC machines used in the production of components and products
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Use precision measuring instruments to ensure components meet required tolerances
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times
Candidate Requirements
- At least 6 months of manufacturing/engineering CNC experience
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
