DDM’s mission is to scale the clinically validated digital health innovations to empower people, starting with 1.6bn people with chronic metabolic health disorders, alongside predictive analytics and risk stratification.
Our evidence-based digital health interventions, like Gro Health and the Low Carb Program, have been featured in the New Scientist, The Times, Daily Mail, Sky News and BBC with thousands of people placing their type 2 diabetes into remission. 1 in 4 members are able to put their type 2 diabetes into remission whilst 60% are also able to reduce or eliminate insulin and 40% are able to eliminate one or more medications. We provide the top 2 rated health apps in the UK (as rated by NHS app reviewers Orcha).
We are looking to utilise the big data we are collecting from users, whether that is wearable, self-input or clinical data, to develop our Machine Learning algorithms and further develop our AI offerings.
Essential requirements:
- Educated to degree level (2.1 minimum), preferably with a strong quantitative component
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Python
- Good communication skills, both oral and written
- Commitment to high quality, well-tested code, and automation
Experience in setting models up as solutions for API consumption is preferable.
The role:
Our Machine Learning Engineers apply develop algorithms to solve practical real-world problems using structured and unstructured datasets, provided through the participants who use the interventions we create.
As a Machine Learning Engineer at DDM, you will work with the CTO, Head of Engineering and CEO to extract value from data to improve insights, improve health outcomes, and encourage positive behaviours to solve today’s most pressing healthcare challenges.

Salary: £19,346.00-£30,072.00 per year
