Position Title: Technical Proposals Engineer
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Engineer to join the team at our Bradford Headquarters.

ensuring we offer the best possible service.

Job Overview

To support the sales team in specifying Capital equipment for projects and prepare technical
commercial proposals

Primary Objectives

1. To support the sales team with technical specification of capital equipment
2. To prepare technical commercial proposals for capital projects, including installation and

commissioning
3. To prepare energy audit reports as part of commercial proposals
4. Order processing and liaising with purchasing to meet customers delivery expectations
5. To increase business profitably within agreed targets
6. To support with customer site visits as and when necessary

Core Duties

  • To evaluate customer requirements and visit sites as necessary
  • To prepare technical quotations in a timely manner, as required
  • To ensure the sales team fully understand the technical detail contained within a quotation
  • To liaise with all internal departments as and when necessary
  • To work with suppliers correctly specifying equipment
  • To assist with customer enquiries both technically and commercially
  • To support the sales team in discussing technical proposals with customers
  • To react to and where possible solve customer complaints
  • To ensure customers are kept up to date with changes to our range of products and services
  • To complete all necessary reports as required and enter data in the CRM system
  • To perform other reasonable duties as required

Competencies

  • Knowledge of compressed air/gas or vacuum systems
  • Engineering qualification or relevant experience
  • Experience in dealing directly with customers either in sales or customer service
  • Experience in preparing technical proposals
  • English speaking to a professional/technical level
  • PC Literate, use of ERP, CRM and Microsoft office
  • Professional telephone manner
