A thriving Acorn Education Trust school is looking to appoint an Administration Officer. West Ashton Church of England Primary School is located in the village of West Ashton, in Wiltshire. Our aim is to provide our children with an engaging, exciting and empowering curriculum that equips them for today and tomorrow and have a strong focus on developing children’s moral, spiritual, social and cultural understanding.
Working hours: 32.5 hours per week
Please note: this is a term time only position (39 weeks per year).
We are a church school with close links with St John’s Church; the parish are actively involved in school life and have several services throughout the year. Our four classes cover the six year groups in primary school; Nursery to year 6.
We would like to hear from you if you:
- Have achieved grade C, or above, in 5 GCSE subjects, including Maths and English;
- Have the ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines;
- Have the ability to work effectively as part of a team;
- Have great communication skills and the ability to adapt to working with a range of stakeholders;
- Have competent IT skills and are willing to learn new admin systems. Experience with school admin systems is desirable, but not necessary;
- Are energetic, enthusiastic and dynamic;
- Have the ability to handle problems quickly and efficiently;
- Have the ability to make effective decisions and work independently in a timely manner;
- Have experience of working in a school office and/or have the skills to run the office of a village primary school (desirable).
Roles and responsibilities:
- To liaise with the services provided by The Acorn Trust, including Finance, HR, Site, IT and Catering;
- To ensure all legal admin tasks are completed in good time and to a high standard;
- To ensure all data held about individuals within the school community is up to date and held in line with data protection guidelines;
- To liaise with and provide a high level of customer service to all the school’s stakeholders e.g. staff, parents, Academy Council, visitors etc.;
- To maintain high levels of confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
