We are seeking a Sanitation Manager to contribute to Shaw Baker’s success. This position manages the Sanitation staff and ensures all Safety and Food Safety procedures are observed and followed by Sanitation Associates. Ensures equipment is cleaned and sanitized correctly. Ensures Associates are scheduled according to the needs.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages Sanitation staff, including training and development of the team members. Manages Scheduling of labor per requirements.
- Develop, implements and monitors Master Sanitation Schedule to ensure all the equipment in the plant is cleaned and sanitized as required.
- Monitors general Sanitation operations to ensure work is done according to existing SOP and Procedures.
- Develops and updates Policies and Procedures. Assists in keeping records of all related Sanitation activities, including, but not limited to, training, inspections, master sanitation schedules (MSS) completion and internal audits.
- Participates, implements and provides leadership of the Shaw Bakers Safety and Food Safety programs.
- Maintains communication within Production, Packing, Shipping, and other departments to ensure a good service level and that all departments work as a team to achieve objectives.
- Supports implementation of new methods, procedures and systems to improve quality and food safety. Responsible for leading Food Safety and Quality efforts to achieve GFSI compliance
- Manages operations to comply with all applicable safety, food safety and environmental laws and regulations, as well as Company safety policies, food safety and quality procedures and standards.
- Responsible for execution and adherence to pre-requisite programs as well as food security/defense program.
- Responsible for identifying opportunities to enhance technology and innovation that will enhance departmental effectiveness.
- Completes special projects as assigned by the department management staff.
- Manges department budget.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Two to five years supervisory experience in fast paced food manufacturing environment
- Strong people management, communication, motivational, and customer service skills.
- Solid knowledge of food safety sanitation related programs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong mathematical proficiency; excellent PC skills. Familiarity with Safety and Food Safety programs.
- Proven ability to learn new technologies quickly and manage change efficiently, proactively and in a positive manner.
- Bi-lingual English-Spanish preferred.
