We are looking for people with kind, compassionate hearts who want to make a true difference to the quality of life for our clients to join our team in Luton as a Live In Care CAREGiver. As a Live In Care CAREGiver, you will live in a client's home and provide a variety of non-medical services to help them keep independent in their own home.
You do not need any experience or particular qualifications to become a CAREGiver. However, it would be useful to have some experience of working in a care setting or interacting with older people. This could be personal experience of caring for a family member or voluntary experience. You will have a passion for supporting others and pride yourself on delivering an outstanding service. You will be reliable, trustworthy and respectful. You will enjoy building professional friendships and comfortable in spending time in the company of others.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide Live in Care, usually working alone.
- Reflect the core values of Home Instead Senior Care Franchise
- Contribute to apositive living environment to enhance a client's quality of life.
- as you will be staying in the client's home, you will follow their house rules and be mindful of their need for privacy.
- Document daily activities of client , keep client safe and promote their well-being.
- Maintain Regular communication with line Manager and office staff.
Companionship Services & Home Help:
- Monitor Diet and eating.
- Stimulate and encourage through a variety of activities i.e clothing selection, hobbies etc.
- Run errands/collect prescriptions etc.
- Performing light household task i.e dusting, vacuuming and making beds etc.
- Help with travel arrangements.
- Accompany to appointments and social events etc.
- Plan prepare and tidy away meals.
- Supervise home Maintenance.
Personal Care Services
- Help with bathing, dressing and grooming.
- Provide medication reminders
- Assit to eat and drink etc.
- Help with continence care.
- Provide respite / Dementia care.
- Assist with morning / wake up and or evening / tuck in
- Perform other reasonable duties as assigned
- Ability to treat and care for clients and their property with dignity and respect.
- Ability to adapt to various living environments and locations
- Ablity to listen, communicate and build relationship with clients and their families in a friendly and pleasant manner.
- Excellent time keepr, organised and professional.
- Willing to seek guidance when needed and follow instructions.
- Good level of stamina and fitness to meet the physical demands of the job.
- Thos role require you to obtain as Enhance Disclosure ( DBS ) from the relevant body.
Additional Information
As a Live In Care CAREGiver, you will be provided with 3 meals a day or an allowance from the client, a separate room to stay and access to a TV and WiFi. In addition, we offer comprehensive training and support.
