Job description
We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive library assistant for this 16hr per week fixed term role (12 months) in our fantastic library in the centre of Bristol.
The Library at University Hospitals Bristol works with around 13,000 colleagues across the Trust, helping ensure all practise is undertaken using the best and most current evidence available. The library service provides essential resources, evidence, and highly skilled training to all levels of staff.
The post holder will provide administrative support to help in the day-to-day running of library services. There will be a combination of face-to face enquiries with library users, together with phone and e-mail contact with users and other library services in the South West and cooperative schemes.
The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in working in a customer services environment. They will have excellent communication skills, and an enthusiasm to provide help and support to students and colleagues. They should have experience of using a range of online databases, resources and IT applications.
