Rosewood Solicitors are a leading multi-site, multi-award-winning law firm specialising in a variety of services.
This is an exciting new role within a rapidly expanding company with a friendly and motivating culture.
We are currently recruiting for the position of Legal Cashier to be based in our Woking office.
This role offers a competitive salary dependant on experience.
This is a part-time position.
This role involves but is not limited to:
- Daily banking including using online banking facilities
- Handling invoicing enquiries and resolving ID queries.
- Reconciling bank, petty cash and general ledgers.
- Processing of client billing accounts receivable and issuing client and office payments.
- Assisting with paying suppliers via the online banking system.
- General administration and housekeeping of files and ledgers.
- To gain an understanding of client and matter ledgers
- Reconciliation of control accounts as required.
- End of year auditor enquiries.
- Sending reminders for non-payment of invoices.
- Issuing proceedings, if required, for non-payment of invoices.
- Assisting with payments of legal aid Crown court and Care matters
- Assisting with end of month payments for crime and family legal aid
- Reconciliation of Legal Aid accounts and remittances
- Paying Legal Aid disbursements
- File closures and closing risk compliance
- Ensure that payments are allocated to the correct file/matter when funds are received
Requirements:
- Have a good understanding of the accounting system, the banking system and case management systems such as Leap
- Full knowledge, experience and understanding of the Solicitors Accounts Rules is required.
- Ability to communicate at all levels and across all departments.
- Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
- High levels of attention to detail.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 16 per week
Salary: From £15,000.00 per year
