We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and self-motivated full-time OT Technician to join our busy friendly community OT and Physio based Wheelchair Service team, based at Temple Farm Industrial Estate, Southend. As an OT Technician you will deliver a high standard of technical, mechanical and engineering support to our diverse service users; assessing their needs, ordering their equipment and handing over in a timely and friendly manner. You will support the OT’s and Physios in joint visits and will also have a caseload of your own.
Under the supervision of, independently and in conjunction with, a therapist: -
To be responsible for the receipt and processing of all wheelchairs and ancillary equipment delivered to the Wheelchair Service.
To maintain accurate stock and movement control.
To provide intervention to delegated clients in accordance with the services procedures.
To use own initiative and be proactive in managing own caseload and report to the supervisor accordingly.
To manage own caseload and work with the senior clinical team on joint visits and clinics.
To reconfigure, adjust, re-programme and modify, wheelchairs and ancillary equipment, within manufacturer’s parameters, to facilitate maximum individual client benefit.

ROLE SUMMARY
