The Lead Process Engineer is accountable for the delivery of chemical engineering technical and design work within their area of expertise. They will be responsible for producing typical conventional and nuclear chemical engineering deliverables, and be capable of interpreting those produced by others. Deliverables may include, but are not limited to: Calculations Written reports P&IDs and Flow Diagrams The Lead Process Engineer will demonstrate familiarity with the principles of safety, security and environmental management in nuclear and conventional chemical engineering. They will be expected to be capable of checking the work of others within their area of expertise and be capable of working individually or within a group to achieve common objectives with minimal supervision. The Lead Process Engineer is expected to have the ability to effectively communicate verbally and non-verbally. They should be able to communicate accurate information with others ensuring full understanding is achieved and demonstrate interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues and clients. The ideal candidate will hold a degree or equivalent qualification in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline. Chartership or working towards Chartered status would be desirable. The role is a remote role with occasional visits to site where required. The organization offers a great balance of opportunity versus stability.
