Salary to be competitive with job role standards & negotiated based on applicant experience although we are looking for an applicant that is suited to a £35k - £38k base salary + Van and expenses.
This role is responsible for overseeing the complete installation of our projects, ensuring they are delivered to the highest quality standard, on time and on budget with full customer satisfaction.
The role requires an individual who has proven experience with residential smart home system installation such as Lighting Control, HVAC, Security, Audio Visual, IT/ Networks and Home Cinema. This role may suit a skilled installation engineer who is looking to take full responsibility for the delivery of individual customer projects including site planning, installation, commissioning and successful handover to the customer.
The right candidate must demonstrate a track record of working on high end residential projects and delivering the above systems and be comfortable in dealing directly with our clients and their contractors. The candidate should be London or SE based and hold a valid driving licence. Work will mostly be in London and the surrounding counties although projects may be further afield from time to time.

● Lighting Control - Lutron, KNX
● Control Systems - Crestron, Savant and Control4
● Networking - Draytek, Ruckus, Ubiquiti
● KNX / BMS experience

● Date, patch panel and equipment rack build and termination is essential
Overview of responsibilities
Lead Engineer
Item Responsibility
1 Setting the standards for the engineers onsite
2 Leading the engineers
3 Making sure projects are planned and executed ontime and on budget
4 Handing over the systems to clients
5 Documenting all projects and technical details
6 Taking the projects from design to delivery
7 Capturing variations and being commercially aware
8 Making sure all engineers have the equipment needed to deliver
9 Health and safety - reviewing the RAMS and keeping all logs and records upto date for the projects the PM is responsible for
10 Keeping all drawings and documentation up to date
11 Liaising between the design and commercial departments
12 Weekly updates to the head of operations detailing Project status Variations Tasks completed Tasks to complete resources needed Equipment needed Health and Safety records
13 Keeping Clients updated on a weekly basis
14 Communicating with all subcontractors and the main contractor for the project
15 Logging all tasks and activity on Joblogic
16 Technical surveys of all homes
17 Making sure all engineers are working to the contracted hours
18 Updating all tasks for themselves and associated tasks for others on Monday.com
19 Creating a product portfolio list alongside head of design
20 Continually learning about the company’s products
21 Developing, improving and implementing operations and production plans to meet company goals
22 Create a structure for login details and passwords
23 Researching products, making sure the team is technically able to deliver
24 Lead the handover process from sales to design and from design to operations, making comments to all designs before it is issued to site
25 Quality control - creating QA sheets for all system handovers, and stage sign off (1st fix, 2nd fix, commission, handover)
26 Creating detailed project reports including photos and descriptions, this includes snagging and checking sites throughout the project duration
27 Assisting the design team with O&M manuals and documentation
28 Raising, tracking and documenting RFIs
29 Responsable for resourcing the project with the correct amount of labour and the right skill set of said labour
30 Creating and giving weekly toolbox talks
31 Documenting all plant and company tools used onsite
32 Ensuring all works are within regulations
33 Making sure all sites are safe and the correct RAMS, checks and procedures have been undertaken to ensure the staff go home safe everyday
34 Make sure all managers are first aid trained
35 Managers must hold the correct CSCS card, be either SMSTS trained or SSSTS
36 Checking all POs against project quotes and tenders
37 Identify and record potential future opportunitie
