Biocomposites have created a new role of HR Director and are now recruiting. As a company that has grown from a handful of people to a team of 400 globally this new role is about adapting to our growth and raising the bar as an employer.
The role is based in Keele, working a hybrid pattern of 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home. There are 400 employees globally with HR support in place for the overseas teams so travel is minimal and use of technology is encouraged. The salary for the role is between £100,000 and £120,000 plus bonus.
Key responsibilities for the HR Director are:
- Understanding the Company Strategy and Vision and designing the People Strategy to support the current and futures needs of the Company
- Review and update the HR Team to support the delivery of the People Strategy.
- Contribute as part of the senior leadership team (SLT) on the leadership of the Company including providing specialist advice and guidance on people and organisational matters.
- Strategic resource management including resource planning, attraction, recruitment, onboarding and retention of new talent.
- Strategic talent management including succession planning, progression, internal careers and strategic relationships with educational settings.
- Consider the organisation culture taking into consideration a wealth of history and also the needs of the Company as it continues to grow.
- Establish and maintain the people infrastructure to ensure compliance, governance with suitable systems and processes.
- Establish the provision of learning and development aligned to the Company and People strategy.
- Taking a long term view of Biocomposites Global Employer Brand.
- Provide support and expertise on Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity and contribute to the Environmental Social and Governance Agenda
If you have the following experiences and abilities then you will be well equipped to consider joining the team
- Strategic HR experience earned at Head of HR or HR Director level.
- Experience of designing and delivering a People Strategy to support business growth.
- Experience establishing a People and HR organisation infrastructure including systems and processes.
- Ability to demonstrate capability to build relationships and influence
- Experience developing an Employer Brand.
- Experience of providing HR Support in an international setting is preferable
- Ability to follow and contribute to commercial discussions and identify the people and organisation impact.
- Experience working in the medical devices, pharmaceutical industry or life sciences area would be helpful but is not essential.
