This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking business that sells wood based sheet materials, laminates, worktops and edgings to joinery manufacturers.
We are looking to recruit a full time Labourer at our hugely successful company based at our modern facility. We offer good rates of pay, on-going training and an attendance bonus scheme.
Duties:
- Carryout any general duties as requested by the supervisor.
- Assisting all shopfloor personal in any general duties.
- Undertake good housekeeping, tidying, cleaning, sweeping working areas and the shopfloor.
- Assist machine operators with handling panels into and from the wood machines.
- Ensure the finished goods are inspected regular and in accordance with relevant procedures.
- Handle materials appropriately and according to training guidelines to avoid damage to products.
- Stack finished panels and wrap, band and label pallets prior to dispatch.
- Consistently follow health and safety rules when working with wood machinery and moving about the Shopfloor.
- Use personal protective equipment correctly according to guidance and training.
- General Health & safety awareness and compliance with all H&S policies and procedures.
- Ability to assist colleagues where necessary including assistance with lifting boards and cut panels.
· Gather and maintain a good knowledge of types of materials.
Skills:
- Experience of working in a CNC department or Warehouse environment.
- Good co-ordination skills, concentration levels and organisational skills are required.
- Speed, efficiency and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Capable of heavy lifting (Within H&S guidelines).
- Good attendance and timekeeping.

Shift pattern:
Monday to Friday 6am – 3pm (45 hours per week)
All shifts include a paid 1 hour break.
