Job Description : Production and Assembly Line Operative
Our Company
Qmed Pharma is a leading supplier of pharmaceutical services to the NHS and private sector based in London with excellent transport links. Our team comprises of individuals with a combined experience of over 50 years in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sector.
The organisation is undergoing a period of rapid growth in all departments including our production and assembly line, warehouse and customer services. We are looking for dedicated individuals who are looking to start a career in the pharmaceuticals industry or wanting to progress from their current roles.
About the role
Qmed Pharma currently has several openings in our Production and Assembly department for enthusiastic individuals to join our team. Experience in a pharmacy environment or similar is highly desired but not essential.
As an organisation regulated by the MHRA, the UK's regulatory body for medicines, all candidates will be provided with an extensive training programme on Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) to ensure a safe working environment.
You will be given the opportunity to understand all the different components of manufacturing allowing for the consistent production of high-quality products.
The role includes;
- Batch production of over-labelled medicines. Complete GMP training will be provided.
- Batch production of re-packing medicines
- Rotating between batch production and warehouse department
- Picking raw materials for assembly accurately
- Application of labels of medicine in large batches
- Attention for detail
About you

Warehouse and Stores operative: Training will be provided to ensure the safe working in a warehouse and compliance in Good Distribution Practice (GDP) by working alongside trained and experienced personnel. You will also work under the Responsible Person (RP) and ensure all regulations and policies are always adhered to.

Quality Assurance (QA): There will be opportunities available to work with the QA team for candidates showing exceptional skill in their attention to detail, understanding of the regulations for a pharmaceutical company and their willingness to develop and improve.
