Job description

  • Managing samples from receipt through to sample processing and storage in line with laboratory processes.
  • Prepare and process samples using various techniques and equipment.
  • Regular quality checks and lab test on products based on risk-approached pre-determined frequency and current business needs for new products and serial production products.
  • Product verification and validation activities based on international standards, customer specific requirements and internal SOP.
  • Perform technical inspections against specification for new products and serial production products.
  • Assist with internal and external non-conformance management including preparation of 8D reports by providing test results and test report.
  • Assist with creation of work instructions, control plans, test plans, process flows and other process quality documents and supporting implementations into production team.
  • Assist with ongoing SPC, MSA, DOE and Six Sigma and other continuous improvement activities by providing requested test results and test reports.
  • Provide clear, thorough, and concise internal communication of issues through the generation of reports, emails, meetings.
  • Support other quality functions within HT Manchester team during all relevant activities.
  • Knowledge of injection moulding process and tooling manufacturing process.
  • Experienced working in a manufacturing environment working in a safe and effective manner.
  • Previous laboratory and testing experience and demonstrated use of various lab equipment.
  • Experience in writing process documentation including Works Instructions, Quality Control Plans, and relevant quality documentation.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of automotive core tools and quality standards.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise and meet deadlines in a timely and effective manner.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a creative attitude and proactive nature.
  • PC skills & experience in the use of MS Office.
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Willing to invest in continuous professional development of self

This is a role performing product verification and validation tests against established processes, procedures, and controls to ensure achieving planned results and outputs including regular product test, annual layouts, product audits, PPAP and FAIR test, NPD test. This role has close working relationship with quality team members, with NPD, engineering, process, production, tooling, and operations.


Working hours: Mon-Fri 14:00 - 22:00
