Seeking a Part time or Full-time Optician

Responsibilities
- Consult with patients to select appropriate products based on their individual needs
- Read and interpret eyeglass and contact lens prescriptions as written by the doctor
- Take time to assist in taking frame and facial measurements to ensure correct fit and positioning.
- Utilize small handheld instruments as well as larger instruments and optical machines
- Troubleshoot patient complaints; adjust or repair spectacles as needed
- Communicate with patients regarding their insurance benefits and pricing
- Ensure complete patient confidentiality as established by the practice policies and HIPAA.
Qualifications
- Experience with insurance programs, such as VSP, Eyemed, and MES
- Customer centric focus
- Strongly prefer demonstrated sales experience in an ophthalmic environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work as a team player
- Bilingual Spanish speaking candidates will be given strong preference
- High school diploma or equivalent, some college preferred
