Kennel Assistant Job Description
We are looking for a Kennel Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
You must be able to start work at 7.30am
Own transport an advantage to get to work
Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize kennels and surrounding areas
- Feed and water animals according to their specific needs
- Administer medication as directed by the veterinarian or kennel manager
- Walk dogs and provide exercise/playtime
- Assist with pet grooming as needed
- Provide customer service to pet owners, including answering questions and addressing concerns
- Maintain accurate records of animal care, including feeding schedules, medication administration, and any health concerns
Skills:
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
- Comfortable working with animals of all sizes and temperaments
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

Requirements:
- Previous experience working with animals preferred but not required
