About Octopus Money

At Octopus Money, we want to help millions of people take the first steps to making their life dreams a reality. We're making it easier, cheaper and more exciting to get money advice from a real person – not just a robot. Schools don't teach money and society makes it taboo. So most of us have no idea the amazing things that are possible if we take small steps to make our money go further.

We believe workplaces are the best place to change the national conversation around money. So we partner with the UK's best employers to make their pay and benefits go further – helping all their employees make the most of the money they earn.

The role and opportunity

As a Junior Product Designer, you will have the chance to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and engineers. You will be encouraged to share your ideas and insights to help solve complex design challenges, and your creativity will be celebrated!

We're looking for someone who is passionate about design, curious about the world of finance, and excited to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.

Day to day you will be:

  • Designing user-centric interfaces and experiences that seamlessly integrate with our platform
  • Collaborating with senior designers, product managers, and engineers to develop product concepts and designs
  • Assisting with the creation of sketches, wireframes, and prototypes to communicate design ideas
  • Participating in design reviews and provide feedback to improve the quality of design work
  • Working with cross-functional teams to ensure that products meet business, technical, and user needs
  • Staying up-to-date with design trends, tools, and technologies to ensure the team is utilising the most effective design practices
  • Helping maintain design files and documentation for future reference
  • Attending team meetings to provide input on design strategy and direction
