We are a non-bank financial institution providing a range of services including but not limited to sales and trading, research, asset management, financing and custodial solutions. We operate out of three offices in the UK - West End, City and M25 border (east). We are regulated by the UK's FCA and seeking further expansion internationally.

Job Summary

LAW GRADUATES ONLY. As the Junior Legal Associate, your responsibility will be assisting the principal owners of the business with managing group investments including but not limited to drafting, reviewing and assisting in negotiating of contracts, understanding regulation (UK and international, as they apply), helping to mitigate legal risk and with reporting to certain regulatory authorities; assisting with maintaining and upkeep of internal governance policies and compliance. As a transactions based group, you will be coordinating international projects and leading with implementation using external counsel.

We are looking for a junior lawyer, law graduate with or without LPC/ SQE qualification or qualified para-legal that wishes to utilise their law degree/ training in the field of finance and not seeking a future career practising as a trainee lawyer/ lawyer.

This role will be based in London, UK - City/ West End with some days working from home. In light of the time zones and international nature in which the group operates, we are looking for a candidate who is not phased by seeing jobs to the end.

Requirements:

  • LLB LAW GRADUATES ONLY, junior lawyer, qualified paralegal or post LPC/ SQE
  • REQUISITE Minimum 2:1 LLB LAW degree
  • REQUISITE Minimum GCE A-level Mathematics "A" grade
  • Highly Numerate
  • Strong interest in Finance and Financial Markets
  • Preference for experience or knowledge of financial regulation and reporting
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills, meeting deadlines to meet expectations
  • Strong knowledge of legal principles
  • Strong knowledge of company law/ international law
  • Good research and drafting skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Discretion
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Solution bias, problem-solving ability
  • Interest in global/ cross border finance and international travel
  • Strong proficiency in English language (written and verbal)
  • Proficiency in French language is an advantage

Job Types: Full-time, Graduate

Salary: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
