For over 135 years we have looked after grooms and helped proud Scots look their best for their special occasion. Our Aberdeen branch, covering 5 floors, is our head office for the group.
The Role
Exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Junior Copywriter with a passion for retail and tartan.
The successful applicant will assist the Marketing Manager in the delivery of our marketing strategy across all digital platforms as well as help with customer experience. The candidate must be proactive and have excellent teamwork skills with a desire to exceed targets and develop their skills.
The job itself would be part-time for a minimum of 14 hours with the scope to increase if demand dictates. This position is ideal for someone at University working towards a degree in journalism, marketing or similar, or who has recently graduated.
Job Tasks & Duties:
- Create engaging content for our social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn).
- Crafting compelling email hooks to keep customers coming back for more.
- Write monthly featured blogs for our website.
- Help with Customer Service such as our online chat.
- Create & update copy for our website.
- Assist the Marketing Manager on marketing strategies and plans.
Qualifications:
- A degree (or working towards a degree) in journalism, marketing or a similar field is desirable but not essential based on experience.

- Has a portfolio of content that makes us say "I wish I'd written that!"
- Understand good SEO and how copy can help
- Is curious and constantly asking “Why not…” and “What if…”
- Is happy to work on their own but equally work well in a team environment.
- Always asks “Who is this copy/content for and why should they care?”
- Has experience in the wedding industry (although this is desirable but not essential)
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 14 per week
Salary: £10.50-£11.50 per hour
