Job description
Advisian is looking for a Junior Consultant intern to join the Strategy & Transaction team for a period of 3-6 months, potentially longer, supporting project delivery across the energy & natural resources practice. The role will be based in our Brentford office in London and will require primarily office-based working, with some flexible working offered as you settle into the role and depending on the needs of your line manager and project work. The role will require working from the Monument office in Central London as necessary.
This role is integral to a high functioning and innovative team, that combines deep industry knowledge, strong client relationships and business insights to provide advice to clients based on real substance. The Strategy & Transaction team work across the energy sector, including work in green hydrogen, battery materials for the electric vehicle market. We develop strategy for senior executives in client organisations in Europe, Middle East and Africa.
The person that fills this role must be a self-starter with a strong work ethic, energised by a challenge, passionate about energy industry dynamics and have a strong academic track record. The right person will be adept at gathering and synthesising research data (quantitative and qualitative) into summary form, drawing insights from the data and will have good Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills.

You should have:
- A degree, or working towards a degree in Business, Engineering, Science, or any other similar course with a numerical and/or analytical focus; ideally at Master's/MBA level
- A curious and self-motivated problem-solving approach, an analytical mind-set, strong Excel skills and ability to apply knowledge of the energy industry to a broad range of consulting projects and client situations
- An ability to synthesise large sets of data in Excel and PowerPoint – data may be numerical or written text form
- Strong (oral/written) communication skills (Word and PowerPoint)
- The ability to multitask, be deadline-driven and organized under tight deadlines
- An optimistic attitude, resilient nature and a collaborative team player with good influencing and interpersonal skills
- A results-oriented attitude
