Children and Adults System Administrator

The role:
We are looking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Children & Adult Services - System Support Team, as the ‘Children & Adults Systems Administrator’.
The main purpose of this role is to ensure the efficient and ongoing operations of:
- Mosaic, the Social Care Case Management system
- Synergy, the education system
- Core+, the Youth Services system
The successful applicant will be required to:
- provide first line ‘super-user’ support and guidance to the users of the above-mentioned systems
- work with the service to develop, and configure the systems to support practice and enable performance information to be collected
- Manage and monitor allocated system development projects
The post holder will also be required to undertake the administration of new software releases in conjunction with Medway Council’s corporate ICT department.
To succeed you will need to be IT literate in the use of Microsoft Office products, extremely organised and proficient in planning, have great attention to detail, must be able to work alone as well as being a team player. Have good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to identify and address problems and develop solutions.
Essential qualifications/skills/experience
It is essential for the post holder to have:
- Good general level of education (Five GCSEs or equivalent, including Maths and English)
- A supervision qualification or willingness to work towards one.
- The ability to use computerised systems with a high level of speed and accuracy.
- Demonstrable experience of developing plans to ensure work is completed to the standard and timescales required.
- Demonstrable experience with prioritising work to achieve successful completion of projects and meeting deadlines.
- Demonstrable experience in dealing with high levels of work-related pressure, for example from deadlines, interruptions, or conflicting demands.
- Demonstrable communication skills with the ability to present complex and/or sensitive information in an understandable way, using a variety of methods across a range of audiences.
- Demonstrable experience using JavaScript.
- A standard DBS
Desirable qualifications/skills/experience
It would be desirable for the post holder to have:
- Professional qualifications in the use of MS Office products at a basic level
- Experience in working within an Education, Youth Services and/or Social Care environment
- Experience in Systems Administration of database management systems
