Brief job description:

Estio Training have an exciting new opportunity for a Level 4 Data Analyst Apprentice with Masonite, a Wholesale Building Materials company based in Barnsley.

Job Description:

Work alongside the Process Improvement Lead to support the Barnsley Plant Manager, the Group Operations Director and the Project Integrate Subject Matter Expert (SME) and ensure the business requirements for the site are integrated into Dynamics365.

Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:

  • Identify, collect, and migrate data to/from a range of internal and external systems, manipulate and link different data sets as required.
  • Perform database queries across multiple tables to extract data for analysis.
  • Assist the Operations team with performance dashboards and reports.
  • Support the Operations team by monitoring master data, key data and master relationship data. Ensures data integrity at all times.
  • Assist with data quality checking and cleansing.
  • To be a pro-active member of the Operations team.
  • Collect and compile data from different sources and provide easy to use reports for the operations team.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve ERP system issues.
  • Offer improvement ideas to aid plant efficiencies, which include plant throughputs and waste reduction initiatives.
  • Provide support to the site team with the ERP implementation project with testing, migration, documentation, and hyper care of Dynamics 365.

Qualifications:

  • 5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and Maths)

Skills Required:

  • GCSE Maths & English at Grade 5 or above (as a minimum).
  • Expected to achieve/study an appropriate qualification e.g. Level 4 Data Analyst.
  • Excellent written, communication, planning and organisational skills.
  • Keen eye for detail, data accuracy and analysis.
  • Strong interest in programming/coding.
  • A broad knowledge of Excel (desirable but not essential).

The role offers a permanent role upon completion of the apprenticeship depending on performance.

  • Present data and produce dashboards and reports to aid visualization and comparison.
  • Use advanced theory and diverse techniques to harness greater understanding.
  • Inform decision-making and make recommendations using an evidence-based approach.
  • Ensure your business processes and procedures are compliant with data protection legislation.
