Job description
About us
Our product is all about collaboration and innovation. So are our people. We’re a small team, but we’ve got a big vision: to build a brand-new infrastructure for operational risk management. It’s not easy. We’re redefining the way some of the world’s biggest financial services companies and banks work with data. There are a lot of challenges – but a lot of opportunities to think and act creatively, too.
Backed by banks (JP Morgan, Citi, Barclays, Lloyds, BNP) and ratings agencies, Acin helps banks objectively manage their risk control landscape. Based on a network of peers, Acin’s data protocols connect a bank’s risk control data across their firm and industry leading to greater cost savings, and creating huge efficiency savings across the bank both in front and back-office operations.
The role
You will connect client data to the Acin Index, assisted by senior colleagues and while building a good knowledge of what’s important in a risk and control framework. You will also be involved with ensuring that Acin’s Index data continues to represent a consensus view of clients’ risk and control data.
Main duties
- Connect client data to the Acin index via Acin’s data matching protocols and tooling.
- Collaborate closely with other analysts and the firm’s subject matter experts to deliver more accurate results and grow your risk and control knowledge.
- Work with Acin’s Product and Engineering teams to facilitate faster and better data processing.
- Continually enhance the quality and completeness of all Acin data in a timely and efficient manner.
- Contribute to the Intelligence and Analytics team’s data processing and data enhancement activities.
Requirements
- You have at least 5 years’ experience in a risk and control role (e.g. Business Risk & Control Officer, Supervisor).
- Ability to work in a fast paced FinTech environment.
- Strong organisational skills, with impeccable attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple projects with varying and time-pressured deliverables.
- Ability to demonstrate a strong knowledge of risks and controls.
- Ability to clearly and succinctly articulate and promote Acin’s risk and control product offering.
- Highly knowledgeable on the key risks faced by trading businesses, e.g. Market Manipulation, Unauthorised Trading, Resilience.
- Good understanding of NFRM core processes e.g. RCSA, Incident management, Read Across / Lessons Learnt.
- Experienced with internal audit, external audit and ideally regulators – and understanding of areas of regulatory scrutiny targeting governance and controls (e.g. SMCR).
