IT Technician – Newcastle

Venn Group’s North East IT team are recruiting for experienced IT Technician’s! We are currently representing multiple organisations in the area and have both short- and long-term contract positions available depending on what you would prefer.
Location: Newcastle
Rate: £13 – 17 per hour (dependant on PAYE or Umbrella)
Duration: 6 months
Start: Immediate
Day to day duties:
Responsibilities:
- Provide IT support to customers, addressing all IT support-related issues
- Perform printer fixes and image-rebuilds of mobile devices, PCs, laptops, and tablets
- Maintain, configure, and build both hardware and software elements of the organization's systems, whether physical or virtual
- Handle both remote support and desktop support tasks
- Have knowledge of SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) in a professional environment
- Utilize remote support tools extensively
- Take responsibility for incident and problem management
- Accurately record customer information to ensure timely completion of incidents and requests
- Utilize troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve technical issues
- Write technical documentation for standard operating procedures (SOPs) and knowledge base
Required Skills:
- Experience in providing IT support in an enterprise environment
- Proficiency in Windows 10, Office 365, Active Directory, Azure platforms, and Microsoft packages
- Knowledge and expertise in troubleshooting hardware and software issues
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Strong organizational skills
