Job Title: Technical Assistant
Location: Bisham Abbey
Job Type: Permanent
Working Hours: 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday 7am to 3.30pm (can be slightly flexible if needed), plus call outs when required.
Salary: £29,000 per annum DOE + O/T for call outs + excellent benefits
Here at Bisham Abbey National Sports Centre our goal is to get more people, more active, more often. We provide affordable access to a wide range of sports and leisure facilities to support healthier and happier people across all segments of the local community. To deliver those services takes an enthusiastic and customer focused team - and right now we are looking to recruit for a Technical Assistant to join us.
Bisham Abbey is one of Sport England’s National Sports Centres and is home to a number of National Governing Bodies of Sport. Bisham Abbey provides excellent facilities to Britain’s leading sports men and women. We are also a Conferencing and Event Centre, boasting a large number of recently refurbished rooms and outdoor spaces for weddings, corporate events, and team-building days.
In this role you will be required to consistently provide on a pre-planned, ad-hoc and reactive basis, a professional and effective minor works refurbishment, maintenance, and repair function in making sure our Bisham Abbey remains a beautiful, safe, and clean place for our staff and customers to work within and use the facilities.
You will help in facilitating a safe, fun, and professional working environment with free access to the leisure facilities, various discounts, and excellent development opportunities.
About You
To be considered for this role, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate by formal means (by “evidenced” reference or training records) that you possess a minimum of ‘services trade’ based experience, working in a similar ‘semi-skilled’ or ‘fully-skilled’ position as a craft based operative in the building and/or services sector.
Preference will be given to candidates with direct experience of working in similar size and or larger more complex leisure facilities.
You will have a maturity and calmness to work under pressure, as well as being organised and taking pride in what you do.
