Columbia Business Computers is seeking a Field Service IT Technician to join our sub-contractor team! You will resolve computer and printer related issues for our clients.

We are pleased to offer you a new contract opportunity for you to consider: Field Service Technician coverying the West Kootenays.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical assistance with printers and computer hardware/software
- Replace parts on printers and computers (motherboards, controller boards, motors, etc).
Who You Are (Qualifications)
- Self Employed and Currently living in the West Kootenays
- Have a valid drivers license and your own vehicle
- Have your own tools
- Strong technical knowledge of PC and Printer hardware
- Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience
- Ability to maintain and complete accurate record keeping and processing of paperwork.
- Must work well independently as well as follow directions.
- Able to handle more than one responsibility at a time.
- Able to work under deadline pressures.
- Strong communication skills, organizational skills, and time management.
- Ability to build rapport with clients.
- Positive and professional demeanor
- Lexmark, HP, Cannon, Xerox etc
- Self-motivated and directed, with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Strong customer-service orientation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Computer Field Service repair experience
- CompTIA A+ (nice to have but not required).
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Salary: $40.00-$50.00 per hour
