Are you a dynamic and motivated individual with a passion for IT support? We have just the role for you! We are seeking an IT Support Officer to provide first-class support to staff and students across multiple departments.
As the first point of contact for IT support, you will be responsible for ensuring all requests are logged, monitored, and resolved in a timely manner. With excellent communication skills, you will be able to explain technical issues clearly and effectively to users with varying levels of technical expertise.
This is a 12-week onsite role, offering 36.5 hours per week, an hourly pay rate of £15.24 + holiday pay, starting ASAP.
Responsibilities include:
- Act as the first point of contact for IT support
- Maintain all support requests within the service desk database
- Investigate and directly resolve common software and hardware issues
- Maintain and support Audio-Visual (AV) facilities throughout departments
- Build computers, install additional software and applications
- Add new user accounts to active directory and other systems
- Monitor all print devices and ensure toner stock is readily available
- Maintain and update user guides and general documentation
- Organise and manage own workload, prioritizing tasks
With experience working in a user support or service desk environment, you will have demonstrable skills supporting Microsoft Windows 10 operating system, Office applications, and other end-user software. You will also have a general understanding of active directory and networking, as well as the ability to support A/V equipment.
