Job Title: Facilities Manager - Support Services

Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, Mon-Fri

Pay Grade: iFM Grade G rate £43,728 - £57,737

iFM Bolton are pleased to have an excellent opportunity for a Facilities Manager – Support Services, based at Royal Bolton Hospital. The Facilities Manager – Support Services will be a key member of the Management team team, working closely with colleagues within the Soft Services department and the wider organisation.

Job Role:

  • The Facilities Manager will be responsible for undertaking a review of the services within their remit and implementing a change programme to ensure the services run effectively, are up to date in terms of legislation and staffing, and where required make positive changes to the structures to enable a more proactive service delivery.
  • On a day-to-day basis, the role is operational, meaning the job holder will be out and about ensuring there are no issues and that everything is working well. They will also need to plan in time at their desk to deal with emails and report writing and attend meetings both face to face and on teams. Time management is essential as the role will be busy and a mix of desk/operational working.
  • They will be responsible for the delivery and development of operational excellence across a portfolio of Soft Facilities Services, ensuring all services support the delivery of high quality, safe and effective operations and support a health, safety and environmental culture.
  • The job holder will be expected to provide dynamic leadership across the portfolio promoting efficiency, resilience and collaboration to ensure commitment to customer service and operational delivery.

The role will be a 1 in 6 (may vary) on-call rota for a week at a time, sharing with other key members across the company.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills:

  • Professional knowledge acquired through degree level professional qualification, or extensive relevant experience specifically around security and transport.
  • Be SIA registered or willing to do so
  • Be PMVA qualified
  • Acute experience of working in a large NHS Trust
  • Significant management experience at a senior level providing Facilities Services within a large organisation.
  • Experience of Budget and Financial management
