Apprenticeship Summary:
- Level 3 Standard IT Support Qualification. ( Expected Duration: 21-24 months )
- Training Provider: LMP Education (Rated 3rd best apprentice provider across the UK!) Qualification delivered online/remote, alongside the full time job role.
- Hours: 30 p/w, 39 weeks per year. (8.30am - 3.30pm)
- Location: Chalkwell Hall Junior School
- Salary : £5.28 p/h under 18// £7.51 18-20 years// £10.21 21 and over.
- You will hold GCSE or equivalent Maths & English GCSE/ Functional Skills Equivalent (Grade 4/C or Level 2).
PURPOSE OF JOB:
- Provide technical support and advice to students and staff.
- Perform routine ICT tasks.
- Manage small projects.
- Facilitate the smooth running of the network by undertaking reasonable tasks as required, including some administrative tasks.
- Support the school’s Internet, Email and Virtual Learning Environment.
- Support the day-to-day running of the curriculum/admin network in collaboration with other IT staff.
- Provide support and maintenance for network hardware and software, including classroom support.
- Provide technical support for curriculum and school events
- Support staff in the use of ICT equipment.
- Report faults to other staff as required.
- Support in-house training as and when required.
- Attend meetings as and when required.
- Provide additional support in the classroom when IT is being taught.
- Provide support and advice on E-Safety.
- Provide IT support at events for parents.
- Run an IT related lunchtime club with a small group of children.
- File documents, transport paperwork and resources (including post) within the school premises.
- Answer the telephone professionally and politely.
- Liaise with members of the public, students and staff regarding school-related ICT enquiries.
- Contribute to the overall ethos/work/aims of the school.
- Participate in training and other learning activities and performance development
- Compliance with all necessary policies and procedures relating to child protection, equality and diversity, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person.
