Experience level:
We are looking for a candidate with experience in social media, comms, and marketing management that can start as soon as possible. They may be juggling other projects or commitments but will be able to dedicate the necessary time per week to ensure ICCO communications and marketing is delivered to meet objectives.
About the role
The Communications Marketing Manager will be based in ICCO (International Communications Consultancy Organisation) in a busy period for the organization and will play an important role in the promotion and success of key PR activations over the next 3 months including
- Global Summit, Warsaw
- World PR Report launch
- Next Gen PR World Cup and University PR World Cup competitions
- Global Awards, London
As well as ongoing campaigns, promotions, and activations. The 20 hours a week will not be concentrated into a specified 2.5 days but spread across the week in order to ensure work is covered.
Key responsibilities include:
- Social media and marketing coordination
- Writing and designing marketing collateral
- Writing press releases, liaison with trade media and ownership of newsroom
- Ownership of social accounts, primarily Twitter and LinkedIn but also Instagram and Facebook.
- Ownership of newsletters and direct member communications
- Ownership of marketing and communications planning, schedule, and calendar
- Ownership of website updates, online presence, look and feel.
- Managing and organizing contact data for communications
- Ad hoc support for ICCO work as necessary
Required skills
- Excellent writing skills
- Social media savvy
- Previous experience managing social accounts (NGO, not-for-profit preferred)
- Experience writing press releases for trade publications
- Experience managing newsletters and client communications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently
- Quick starter, able to work independently with initiative
Desirable skills
- Experience of website editing (e.g. wordpress)
- Knowledge of, or interest in, the public relations and communications industry
- An interest in global media and international business
- Experience working internationally
- Experience working in a membership organisation
- Foreign language skills
Desirable qualifications
- Formal qualification in communications, PR, marketing or similar
