Job description
An exciting opportunity for an IT Helpdesk Engineer to join a business based in Pickering. Working Monday to Friday, on a 3 month temporary contract, you will earn up to £12.50 per hour, depending on experience, providing IT Support both remotely and on site.
You will act as the first point of contact for IT issues, aiming to provide a first time fix, or escalate issues where needed to a third party provider. Your responsibilities will include:
- Allocating and prioritising helpdesk tickets to deliver efficient 1st line IT support
- Liaising with a third party company where needed, to resolve a range of IT issues
- Setting up and managing user accounts in a Windows environment
- Hardware support including laptops, mobile phones, and printers
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing technical issues, including connectivity issues, and raising issues with external support
- Assist with IT asset management
To be successful in this position of IT Helpdesk Engineer, you will be a proactive self-starter, and will have the following skills and experience:
- An excellent communicator, able to work effectively as part of a team or managing your own workload
- The ability to multitask and prioritise workload, and a genuine passion for technology
- Experience supporting and maintaining a Windows and Microsoft 365 environment, and dealing with IT hardware and software issues
