We are currently recruiting for Legal Assistant roles within our Housing Disrepair department based in Greater Manchester. Our team of experienced lawyers are specialist in their respective fields.
We are looking to expand and this will be a perfect opportunity for a candidate to join early and grow with the firm.
The Role
The position is for candidates with interest in developing skills within a law firm.
The role would suit someone who is a recent LPC or LLM graduate. You will be required to commit to a minimum of 3 months voluntary role during which you will be given adequate training and development. Your duties will include administration assistance, case work, drafting court documents, corresponding with third parties and reception duties which includes, answering calls, post and other duties.
Upon completion of 3 months work, we will then consider you for a permanent paid role, which will make you eligible to apply for a training contract following a further 3 months of employment.
You will gain invaluable experience in housing disrepair law. You will join a team of specialists and the successful candidate will progress into a fee earner to handle a full caseload.
This is a challenging role suited to an ambitious individual with excellent client care and interpersonal skills.

The ideal candidate will:
- Hold an LLB, GDL, LLM or LPC – preferable.
- Wishes to build a career in law.
- Keen eye for detail.
- Good drafting and writing skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ambition to become a qualified Solicitor.
