To be suitable you will be an IT graduate with some experience in providing 1st line support within a Windows environment.
The ideal candidate will have a clear passion for IT, excellent communication skills and strong problem-solving ability. You will have strong interpersonal skills, a flexible approach to working and a proven ability to work on your own initiative as well as collaborate well within a team.
As a 1st Line Engineer, you will have a good understanding of supporting customers directly and have an eagerness to learn. You will report directly to the Line Manager and have multiple opportunities to grow and develop your skills.
This role could suit a positive and proactive candidate with limited to no IT experience but keen to learn and kick off an exciting career in a fast-paced environment.
Your principal duties will include but not limited to:
- Installing hardware and peripheral components like disk drives, printers, keyboards and monitors etc.
- Install, maintain and support new applications on Desktops and Laptops
- Providing support for company provided mobile devices & printers
- Troubleshoot software and hardware failures and determine network problems
- Troubleshoot through phone, hardware and software & engage technical resources to resolve
- Understanding of basic networking protocols
- Knowledge of Office 365 is preferred but not essential
- Experience in using and configuring MacOS / Windows devices
- Ability to commute daily to the office in Park Royal, London
- General Office maintenance
- Other Ad-Hoc duties as required
Qualifications and Skills:
- Basic Knowledge of Windows 10 Pro
- A+/Server+ qualification and/or related degree a must
- Excellent collaboration and communication/interpersonal skills
- Self-Starter with strong customer service ethics and sense of urgency
- Quick turnaround on instructions or requests from senior management
- Excellent team player
- Ability to remain calm and collected under pressure
- Ability to deliver and coordinate projects within tight deadlines
- General understanding of project management methodologies
- Excellent problem solving skills. Willingness to learn and an interest in technology
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task. A proactive, flexible and adaptable approach
- Ability to work outside of standard working hours and weekends as and when required
- Must be able to start immediately
Working Hours:
Mon-Fri (8am to 5pm)
Alternate Saturdays (9am to 2pm)
No sponsorship for this role, you must be able to live and work in the UK
