Invigilators required for Adult Learning provider in Dorset.
Skills & Learning Adult Community Education is Dorset’s premier adult learning provider. It is an expanding Government funded provider of Maths, English, ESOL, digital and vocational qualifications as part of Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council.
We are looking for responsible and reliable invigilators to join our friendly team, working with us to assist in the supervision of exams at various venues across Dorset. You will be responsible for the invigilation of public examinations as directed by the Exams Officer and for the supervision of candidates presenting themselves for such exams. Experience is an advantage but not necessary as full training will be given.
An ideal candidate will:
- be flexible
- have effective communication skills
- be confident and a reassuring presence to candidates in exam rooms
- be able to work on their own and as part of a team of invigilators for larger exams
- Have access to their own mobile phone, to call for support if required, during an exam
Multiple casual positions are available. Examinations and assessments take place in our main learning centres in Boscombe, Blandford, Christchurch, Dorchester, Ferndown, Poole and Weymouth. We are looking for invigilators who are ideally able to cover multiple sites with both daytime and evening availability
We are also looking to appoint a fixed hours invigilator. This post is for 10 hours per week, term time only. This post holder will mainly carry out invigilator duties across multiple centres and may also support the Examinations Officer with general exam administration including learner registration and certification.
