We are on the lookout for an Investment Proposition Analyst to join our Workplace Investment Proposition team. Reporting to the Head of Workplace Investment Proposition, the Investment Proposition Analyst will deliver contribution through applying their technical and professional knowledge acquired through previous experience.
The primary focus of the role is the production of data and analysis to identify trends and support proposition reporting and decisions including design of new propositions and ad-hoc queries.
Our Investment Proposition Analysts analyse Investment fund data to validate and recommend actions for funds on fund review and value money for watch list, monitor MI to identify trends and share insight with the team and assess funds V key criteria such as, cost to Aegon cost to customer, performance V benchmark and peer group, investment risk. Responsibilities will include assisting the Head of Workplace Investment Proposition in their role and support data requests from our internal Distribution team.
We’re looking for someone who has a developed capability in data management and analysis using various tools.
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complexity
- Skills in Investment and fund analysis in areas such as performance analysis, peer group comparison, risk assessment, correlation analysis
- Facility to draw insight from analysis, frame the problem, key questions and build out from a blank sheet of paper
- Awareness of industry performance systems / data providers such as, Financial Express or Morningstar
- Knowledge of Investment landscape including fund managers, funds etc.
- An understanding of fund management practices, retail and institutional fund structures and performance measurement tools are advantageous
- Awareness of regulations in respect of investments such as, Investment Rules/TCF/COBS

We know our staff have busy lives and commitments outside work, so we work flexibly where possible and have a hybrid approach to office working (typically 2 days in the office per week, 3 from home). We are open to the successful candidate being based within distance of our Edinburgh or London office.
