Sky operates across established Markets (UKI, Italy, DACH), small markets, bureaus and branches. There is a requirement for improved support within existing small markets, expansion into new markets and a growing need for global talent acquisition. There is currently a lack of resource capacity to set up and service the core requirements to enable this e.g. payroll, tax, legal compliance. We need to develop a blueprint for how International HR is delivered at Sky and are open to risk now and in the future!
This role will act as the People Business Owner on the set up of new locations, whilst developing a longer-term strategy and framework for the future, working very closely with the relevant people partner teams, Centres of expertise and legal!
What you'll do:
- Oversight (at early/initial phase) of all growth, new business and location projects and act as People Business owner for all new location set ups.
- Requirements gathering, building on previous feedback and risks identified in this area translated into a clear framework for IHR to take out to the wider HR and the business and implement.
- Work with the programme team to set up project governance and operating rhythm for new locations, pulling on expertise when needed
- Work with legal, compliance, policy and the reward COE e.g. Corporate Tax, Legal, Payroll, Immigration, Global Mobility etc. to ensure the offering provides: regulatory/compliance requirements are always met, 3rd party spend is controlled, Clear and consistent policies and processes, Roles across HR are clear and permanent resource requirements for IHR proposed, Payroll supplier/s and service outlined, Employee and Manager support and service offering defined
- Work with the Head of Group Payroll to deliver an international payroll offering and build capability within the current payroll team to set up and lead all aspects of international payroll
- Work with Group SMEs (including Reward, Global Mobility, Legal, holidays, etc) and BHR to implement design of policy and package consistent with Group principles
- Work in conjunction with Project Sapphire/TA team to ensure Global Talent Acquisition forms part of the overall IHR offering
- Lead a small team that will support data gathering, analysis and external research to support strategy and framework development
- Implementer of the framework, ensuring it’s fully understood by HR and the business
What you'll bring:
- International HR experience
- Change Management and Transformation
- HR Operations and administration
- Experience working with external suppliers and advisors to understand complexity and build compliant processes and great employee experience for employees in new markets
- Experience working with global HR technology solution to specify and implement appropriate end to end integration solutions for new markets
- HR Partnering Experience desired
- Leadership / supervisory experience of a small HR function
- Be well-versed in implementing change
- Comfortable in both operational and strategic HR work
- Handling multiple senior team members in a complex set-up
- Possess a good network to draw on to build solutions to the priority problems in this area and draw on experiences of others to ensure recommendations are thought through and validated
- Delivery focussed completer finisher
- Ability to deliver across multiple programmes and priorities
