Job Description: Aircraft Interior Modification Engineer
Job Location: Fort Worth, TX
Job Type: W2 Contract, 40 hours per week
Description:
Guides successful completion of major interior modification programs or conceives research in areas of considerable scope and complexity supporting the development and production of products and services.
Responsibilities:
- Selects appropriate methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to resolve complex engineering issues.
- Is consulted extensively by associates and others as a recognized authority within the field.
- Anticipates and resolves complex issues in creative and effective ways, developing standards and guides for diverse engineering activities.
- Approach to problem solving balances technical product, cost and schedule.
- Works without appreciable direction; work is reviewed from a long-range perspective for desired results.
- Exercises latitude in determining technical objectives of assignments and makes decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative.
Qualifications:
- Familiar with aircraft manuals Experience in technical writing Aviation background is highly desired.
- Strong knowledge in MS Access and Excel preferred Must be able to work independently, without day-to-day supervision.
- Must be articulate and able to express technical issues and concepts in clear and concise manner.
- Must be able to work with the suppliers and union personnel in a professional manner.
- Engineering degree in Aviation/Technical related field
- Airline/Passenger aircraft experience preferred.
- Part 25 Certification Engineering with 5+ experience or 10 years aircraft interior engineering experience.
Top 3 to 5 skillsets / years of experience
- 5 yrs of Commercial aviation exp
- Knowledge of IFE, WIFI, Cabin systems
- General knowledge of Boeing and Airbus repair manuals
- ODA STC package creation
