Imperial Engineering & Construction NW Ltd are an established Electrical Contractor providing commercial installation and security services around the Northwest and occasionally further afield.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Fire and Security engineer to join our growing team.
You will be working along side our team of commercial electricians within offices, industrial buildings, public buildings, healthcare, education, retail and leisure.
Job Type: Full time, Permanent.
40 hours per week

- 20 days leave (plus Bank Holidays)
Office location: Central Manchester (Deansgate)
The successful candidate will have a demonstratable track record as a fire and security engineer working within the building sector.
- Engineers will be required to carry out small installations and maintenance on Fire alarms and electronic security.
- They will have to rectify any faults that they come across.
- Fire alarms - Advanced, Kentec, Morley
- CCTV - Hikvision, Dahua,
- Intruder alarms - Galaxy, Texacom, Risco
- Access Control - Paxton
- You will hold a full UK driving license
- You would have excellent communication skills.
- You can work well as part of a team or under your own initiative.
- You shall have a strong focus on customer service and quality of work.
- You will have proven experience in fire alarm systems maintenance and installations.
- ECS card advantageous.
- Providing certification for serviced systems to comply with relevant British Standards
- Effectively communicating with customers, service coordinators and management.
- Maintaining customer relationships and ensure a high level of service is offered at all times.
- Ensuring yourself and colleagues comply with all health and safety procedures.
- Maintaining your vehicle and stock levels to ensure client demands are met.
- Attending site meeting when required.
To be considered for this role you will demonstrate the following:
- Proven experience installing and maintaining fire alarm and security systems.
- Demonstrate a good understanding of Industry Standards - BS5839/PD6662:2017/BS8243.
- Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness.
- Professional and presentable.
- Excellent organisational and reporting/communication skills.
- Positive work ethic and a ‘can do’ attitude.
- Full UK driving licence.
