Position Summary
Plan the utilization of facilities, equipment, materials and personnel to improve efficiency of operations. Establish work measurement programs and analyzes work samples to develop standards for labor utilization. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.
Essential Job Functions
- Compile time study data, input time study data, and calculate associate percent performance by individual work element and overall performance
- Train operations management and hourly personnel on Distribution Center Methods
- Analyze workforce utilization and operation data, such as production costs, production flow charts, and production schedules to determine efficient utilization of workers and equipment
- Recommend methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities
- Confer with management and engineering associates to implement plans and recommendations
- Participate in industrial engineering projects
- Complete cost analysis utilizing engineering templates
- Maintain flexibility to work any shift, including weekends
- Maintain flexibility to travel up to 50% to other locations for time studies and continuous improvement projects
- Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
Minimum Position Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering , logistics or mathematics
- Ability to provide excellent customer service, to both internal and external customers
- Ability to preserve confidentiality of information
- Excellent analytical skills
- Highly organized with ability to multi-task
- Familiarity with industrial engineering terms and processes
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to continue education as necessary
Desired Previous Experience/Education
- Other: Bachelors degree in industrial engineering
- 1 year of related experience or training
Education Level: Bachelor's Required
