About The Service
We are seeking a registered Social Worker to join our multi-disciplinary Community Mental Health team in Gabalfa, situated in North West Cardiff. We are a large, dynamic team dealing with individuals presenting with a wide range of mental health conditions, their carers and families with differing catchment areas. We have one full-time, 37 hour per week post.
About the job
You will need to have a Degree in Social Work or equivalent. A comprehensive understanding of the relevant legislation is essential along with experience of working with people with mental health difficulties. Previous experience of working within a mental health setting is preferable and you should have a proven record of supervision of staff.
What We Are Looking For From You
You will be confident at assessing the needs of citizens and their carers and be familiar with the requirements of the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014 and the Mental Health (Wales) Measure 2010.You will also be able to undertake risk assessments and develop associated care plans and risk management plans. You should be prepared to undertake appropriate training and be able to work under pressure. A full valid driving licence and the use of a car during working hours are required.
